How to answer MCQs in English Literature

Many MCQs will not be straightforward. To answer the Recall questions, it is important that you read the text carefully. You are bound for failure if you read just a summary from some source. Do not go by one-shot 10-15 minute videos.

The understanding and application MCQs can be answered only if you have understood every word, every nuance of the poem, story, essay or the play. Adopt a more thorough approach to literature.

There will be one or two analysis based questions related to your understanding of the character of Caesar or Antony or Brutus or say, the survival instinct of the mite or Martin's fears in the elevator or element of body shaming like in the photographer story. Prepare your thoughts well so that you do not spend time brooding over them in the exam hall.
