Even when you read/study the first time, ensure you go chronologically. Understand in bullet points because these will also be your keywords and will fetch you marks.

Making a chart with Governor Generals and Viceroys will help, particularly in MCQs. Also make a chart of leaders, who was called what and the important achievements of each person. The more you do all this work yourself, the better you will retain.

Students tend to confuse between the three major Gandhian movements. Best to prepare the points in tabular form for better retention. Do the same for World War 1 and 2 and the functions of different UN organs and agencies.

Civics is more tricky. Here understanding is key, especially with the help of examples. Do not rote learn. All videos on SWS YT channel are explained with the help of lots of examples which will help you connect better.

In Judiciary chapters, legal jargon can confuse. Again, understand with the help of real-life examples. Reading a newspaper regularly will help in Civics.
